Frequently Asked Questions

What batteries does the DC2200 camera use?

The camera uses 3xAAA alkaline batteries, which are not included in the package. They must be inserted with correct polarity to power the unit.

What happens if I remove the battery from the camera?

Removing the battery will erase the internal memory (this does not apply to a CF card) and reset the TV settings to default, so photos should be uploaded to a PC before removing batteries.

How do I connect the camera to a PC?

First install the My Camera driver from the CD-ROM on your PC or Mac, then power on the camera and connect it via USB cable. 'PC' will appear on the LCD, and the My Camera explorer will appear in My Computer, letting you view image files.

Can I take photos while the camera is connected to a computer?

You can take photos or movies with the USB cable connected to a PC to save battery power, but you cannot take photos while connected via USB to a Mac.

What photo quality and resolution modes are available?

Modes include VGA (640x480) at Fine (~120KB) or Normal (~60KB) quality, QVGA (320x240) Economy (~80KB), 2X Digital zoom (320x240, ~45KB), and Movie mode (160x120, MOV format, up to 980KB and 25-30 seconds).

How do I know when the battery is low?

The first segment of the battery icon on the LCD will blink when battery power is too low, indicating you should change to new alkaline batteries and upload images to the computer soon.
