Used Xbox Series X for Sale: Compare Prices

A used Xbox Series X can be a good way to save money over buying new, but condition varies a lot between listings. Look closely at the title and photos for signs of wear, repasting (a sign the seller has opened the console, often to address overheating), or cosmetic damage like a cracked or dented casing. Sellers who describe their unit as "tested" or "tested working" are giving you more confidence than those with no testing claims at all.

Pay attention to whether a listing is for the console only or includes a controller, power cable, and HDMI cable, since these are needed to use the system and aren't always pictured or mentioned clearly. Bundles that add extra controllers, games, or storage can be worth comparing against buying those items separately, but confirm exactly what is included by reading the full description rather than relying on the title alone.

The Xbox Series X comes in a few distinct variants. The standard console has a 1TB SSD and a disc drive. The All-Digital Edition drops the disc drive and is sold in white. A limited Galaxy Edition with 2TB of storage and a distinct finish also circulates on the resale market. These variants are not interchangeable, so make sure the listing matches the edition you actually want, especially if you rely on physical game discs.

Unlike new or manufacturer-refurbished units, used consoles sold by individual or small-business sellers don't follow a standardized grading system. Terms like "fair condition," "read description," or "as-is" signal that the seller is disclosing some level of wear, functional issues, or missing accessories, and these units are typically priced lower. Listings without such caveats, especially those marked "tested" with clear photos, tend to represent better condition.

Because there's no manufacturer warranty on most used consoles, any protection comes from the marketplace's buyer protections and the individual seller's own return policy, which varies listing to listing. Always check the specific listing for its return window and what happens if the console doesn't work as described before you buy.
