Victrix Xbox Controller: Compare Models and Prices

Start with how you want to connect. The Victrix Gambit and Gambit Prime are wired tournament controllers, making them sensible starting points if you play at a desk and do not need wireless freedom. Check that the included cable suits your setup and that the listing identifies the model clearly. Sellers sometimes use Gambit and Gambit Prime inconsistently, so photographs of the packaging and controller are more useful than a shortened title alone.

The Xbox versions of Pro BFG and Pro BFG Reloaded add wireless operation and a modular control layout. Their appeal is the ability to change the physical arrangement rather than simply buy another conventional Xbox pad. Compare the supplied modules and interchangeable pieces, especially if you want the fightpad configuration. A controller missing those extras may still function but will not offer the full flexibility you expected.

Reloaded is a distinct revision, not just another name for the original Pro BFG. Hall Effect thumbsticks are a key reason to consider it. An original Pro BFG advertised with Hall Effect sticks may have upgraded modules instead; ask for evidence of what is actually installed. Compare equivalent hardware rather than assuming every Pro BFG listing describes the same controller.

Look for an explicit Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One compatibility statement on the product packaging or manufacturer model information. Victrix also makes PlayStation controllers with similar names and appearances. PC support does not establish Xbox compatibility, and a title that combines Xbox and PlayStation keywords should not be treated as proof that one unit supports both consoles.

For a wireless Pro BFG, confirm that the correct USB wireless dongle is included. Wireless capability does not mean the controller pairs with an Xbox in the same way as a standard Microsoft pad. A missing dongle changes the value of the package, even if the seller demonstrates wired operation. Listings described as wired or no USB need clarification about whether the missing item is the cable, receiver or something else.

Check the accessory photographs against the exact model's official contents list. Pay particular attention to control modules, alternate sticks or directional pads, the cable and any adjustment tool. For setup, use the manufacturer support page and manual for that Xbox model. Confirm app compatibility before relying on software remapping or firmware features; instructions for another platform or revision may not apply.

This page includes several conditions because the search does not specify new or pre-owned. Keep new, open-box, refurbished and used offers separate when judging value. Open-box does not guarantee a complete accessory set, while refurbished descriptions can represent different inspection or repair processes. Read the individual listing for the stated testing, cosmetic condition, return terms and any warranty rather than inferring these from the condition label.

For used controllers, look for evidence that both sticks centre properly, triggers register throughout their travel and buttons respond consistently. Ask about rear controls, the headset connection and wireless operation where applicable. Close-up photographs can reveal worn grips, damaged ports or missing module screws, but they cannot establish that the controller is free of intermittent faults.

Compare the delivered cost after shipping and applicable tax, then account for any missing accessories you would need to replace. The lowest asking price is not automatically the strongest purchase if the model is unclear or essential hardware is absent. Match the model, condition and completeness first; then use the current listings to decide whether the saving justifies the compromises.
