Used Xbox 360 for Sale: Compare Consoles and Prices

A cheap Xbox 360 can cost more to get running than a higher-priced bundle. Start by checking whether the listing includes a compatible power supply, a working controller and a video cable suitable for your television. Console-only offers can make sense if you already own those items, but buying each separately changes the total. Include shipping and any applicable tax when comparing the final checkout cost.

Current used-console asking prices span $30.00–$220.00, with a median of $60.00. These figures describe the listings on this page, not completed sales or guaranteed values. Compare like-for-like packages: a tested console with a controller and cables is a different purchase from a bare unit with unclear storage. Read the full description even when the title says “tested,” because the seller may describe limitations farther down.

An Xbox 360 bundle is useful only when its extras suit you. Check the game titles, disc condition, controller count and whether batteries or charging accessories are included. Kinect games require the sensor and suitable play space. Do not pay extra for installed digital games or an included account on the assumption that access will transfer to you.

The Xbox 360 S, commonly called the Xbox 360 Slim, and the Xbox 360 E both have built-in Wi-Fi and HDMI output. They are useful starting points if you want straightforward connection to a modern television and home network. The Elite belongs to the original Xbox 360 design family: it has HDMI but no built-in Wi-Fi. Ethernet is an option across these models. Confirm the actual console in the photographs rather than relying on a generic listing title.

Storage deserves a separate check. A small internal-memory configuration is not equivalent to a console fitted with a hard drive. Some games need additional storage for required content, while installations and downloads can quickly consume free space. Ask for a dashboard storage photo if the advertised capacity is unclear, and check whether a title marked “no HDD” includes any usable internal storage.

Power supplies and hard-drive enclosures are not universally interchangeable across Xbox 360 designs. Match replacement accessories to the exact model rather than choosing something merely labelled Xbox 360. If you want to play supported original Xbox games, verify both the individual game’s compatibility and the presence of a suitable official Xbox 360 hard drive. Owning an Xbox 360 does not make every original Xbox disc compatible.

Look for evidence that the console reads a game disc and runs a game, not just that its power light turns on. Useful checks include a working disc tray, stable video output, controller pairing, functioning USB ports and no overheating or error lights during play. Ask about unusually loud fans or a sticking tray. For controllers, check the sticks, buttons, triggers and battery compartment for wear or corrosion.

Inspect photographs for cracked casing, missing panels, damaged ports and heavy dust around vents. Cosmetic wear may be acceptable, but it should be disclosed clearly enough to judge. A stock image cannot establish the condition of the unit you will receive. Where titles and photographs disagree about the model or storage, seek clarification before placing an order.

Used and refurbished are different buying categories. This page targets used consoles; a refurbished Xbox 360 should be assessed separately against the seller’s stated repair or inspection work. Words such as “cleaned” or “tested” do not establish a warranty. Check the individual offer’s return eligibility, return shipping responsibilities and any stated coverage, particularly when buying older hardware.
