Used Xbox 360 Games: Compare Prices

Start with the title and edition you want, then compare copies with equivalent contents. Used Xbox 360 games include disc-only copies, games with cases and copies advertised as complete in box. A cheaper disc can suit someone who only wants to play, while original packaging may matter more to a collector. Neither packaging nor a condition label proves that a disc works.

Pick-and-choose listings need extra attention. Their displayed price may belong to a different game from the one pictured, and a photograph of several games does not mean every game is included. Select your title on the retailer's page and confirm the resulting price before comparing it with a standalone listing. Multi-buy promotions can also depend on which titles you select.

Compare the delivered total rather than the item price alone. Check shipping charges, any combined-shipping conditions and the return terms shown for that particular offer. When looking for cheap Xbox 360 games, a clearly described copy can be more useful than a lower headline price with uncertain contents.

Read the description alongside the photographs. Good, Very Good and Acceptable are seller condition labels, not interchangeable guarantees of playability. Look for an explicit testing statement and disclosures about scratches, resurfacing or unreadable sections. A seller's claim that a game was tested is useful context, but it does not establish how thoroughly every disc was checked.

Disc-only usually means that the original case and manual are absent; it should not mean that a required game disc is missing. Some Xbox 360 releases use more than one disc. Grand Theft Auto V has separate installation and play discs, so a listing for its installation disc alone is not a complete playable purchase. For other releases, verify the expected discs for the specific edition rather than assuming every extra disc is optional.

Treat downloadable extras separately from physical contents. A used game's included code may already have been redeemed. Complete-in-box wording does not guarantee usable downloadable content, and a season-pass disc does not necessarily contain every episode on the disc. Check exactly what is playable from the physical media before paying extra for a special edition.

Confirm the platform and region printed on the case or disc. Original Xbox games are not Xbox 360 releases, even when a seller advertises compatibility. Imported Xbox 360 games can have region restrictions, so verify the particular release against your console before ordering.

If you plan to play on Xbox One or Xbox Series X, check Microsoft's backward-compatibility list for the exact title. Only supported Xbox 360 games work, and physical discs require a console with a disc drive. Xbox Series S cannot use these discs.

For Xbox 360 games for kids, check the age rating, local multiplayer options and required accessories. Kinect titles require compatible Kinect hardware rather than just a standard Xbox 360 controller. For sports games and other multiplayer releases, distinguish local play from online modes: server availability varies by game. Buy for features you can confirm are still usable, not simply those advertised on an old box.
